Nicola Spirig won the demanding duathlon in St. Moritz. The 37-year-old Olympic champion and co-founder of the event in the Upper Engadine reached the finish after 20 km of cycling and 6.6 km of running in 1:23:39 hours. She stayed 18 seconds ahead of her remaining competitors.

The Swiss athlete, who became a mother for the third time only four months ago, did without the swim course in Lake St. Moritz this year. Nevertheless, she is in preparation for the ITU World Triathlon Grand Final, which will take place in Lausanne in three weeks. "The training and the previous competitions are going very well", Nicola Spirig said. At the same time, she tried to damp too high expectations: "A podium place in Lausanne is not sure at all. Don’t forget that I gave birth only 17 weeks ago. »
