Strong showing of form by Nicola Spirig in her last competitive appearance before the Olympic Games in Tokyo, winning the Trans-Vorarlberg Triathlon in Austria with a lead of nearly six minutes.
The Zurich native dominated the race over the Olympic distance (with a slightly longer run course of 12km) from start to finish. Naturally, Spirig was satisfied afterwards and spoke of a good performance in all three phases of the race.
The London 2012 Olympic champion will now return to St. Moritz to complete another ten days of training before departing for Tokyo on July 22.
